I was apprehensive about being able to tackle large oak stumps however the wg24 did great. I was impressed to say the least. For the money and size of the grinder it’s worth it so if anyone is dragging their feet like I was for over a year get one. For my own personal use it was an awesome purchase.

Very well designed and easy to use. Perfect size for managing my woodlot for maple syrup production. Has allowed me to improve on the 2 track access to trees.

Love my stump grinder. Even on a compact tractor with 18.5 PTO HP, it performs well. Just take 2 inches or so each time. I ruined three of my grinding teeth on metal INSIDE a stump I was grinding. Years before I owned the property, someone tried to cut a sapling and broke their blade. I found it in the middle of an 2ft stump. Buy extra teeth. Also, if you don't have one, get a torque wrench, 24mm socket, and breaker bar for teeth maintenance. Finally, you'll need a long metal rod to stick through the wheel to keep it from turning during teeth replacement. None of that is in the owners manual. Woodland Mills needs to create a locking mechanism for the flywheel for maintenance. Service was great to help me figure out how to perform teeth replacement. You will love how quickly it destroys those pesky stumps!

Does exactly what is it intended for, very well. Grinded 200+ stumps so far and had no trouble as of yet, nor anticipated. Also found it to do very well for knocking the tops off of the roots running across the top of the ground to make it easier for mowing. I am super pleased with the performance of this Stump Grinder! I've been using this on a JD 2025R with the iMatch quick hitch. Not using the quick hitch may have less side stress on the tractor but it is convenient and provided a few extra inches so I did not have to cut the PTO shaft. I have ballasted tires (RimGuard) and wheel weights which help while using this stump grinder on a small tractor. My 18 PTO HorsePower is sufficient.

The WG24 arrived to West Central Wisconsin within 48 hrs. of the online order. The unit was well packaged for the trip, no damage. The assemble instructions were clear and easy to follow. I use the grinder behind a Kubota L3560 HSTC. The lowest hydro speed setting works well for travel rate. I have mostly hardwood stumps and some take a little time. I may be well served by hooking up some type of rear view camera vs the stiff neck associated with looking back through the cab window. The other trade off opposed to the more expensive hydraulic motion PTO grinders are the ruts created by the tractor on soft ground. There is a lot of back and forth on larger stumps. Fortunately there isn't a long wait for frozen ground around here. Overall it is well built and a good value for the price.
